My interest lies in people and capturing moments with mood and feeling. Having drawn since childhood, and as a native of California, I studied illustration at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. I was introduced and exposed to various mediums including watercolor but at that time did not focus on it. I left art school prematurely and pursued other interests.
Now as a Pittsburgh resident, after rediscovering myself as an artist through workshops with a few talented and accomplished local artists, I have embraced watercolor and in 2013 was accepted into Pittsburgh Watercolor Society. That same year I entered my first juried show and was not only accepted but won Best Of Show in the “The Aqueous Open 67th Annual International Exhibition” for my painting “Bubbles”.
I am now participating in shows and enjoying the experience of seeing my work in a gallery setting alongside other talented watercolor artists in addition to painting commissions.
